Life-A Living Cross

Does the title sound strange?
How can one’s life be a living Cross?
Is one’s life suppose to be painful, full of agony and suffering?

I have been meditating upon Gospel of Matthew for few months now.

In the beginning, I wasn’t sure why I am reading and listening to it.

But one should go thru the process when led by the spirit no matter how long it takes and what we go thru on a daily basis.

It’s not about the pain but the presence of Christ.
It’s not about the agony but the triumph of eternal life.
It’s not about the suffering but living the Cross of Christ. All for the Glory of God.

The revelation to understand, see, hear, dream and experience the true essence of the life of Christ, his death and his resurrection has been very overwhelming.

Most of our life, as Christians, we are taught to look at the death of Jesus and what Christ did on the cross for us and how his resurrection saved us all.

But, if we truly grasp the profound message being shared with us, we can begin to recognize that our very own life is a Living Cross of Christ, as we wholeheartedly embrace our identity as followers of Him. This passionate understanding calls us to pause and deeply reflect on the sacrifices and struggles closely intertwined with our faith, revealing the invaluable lessons hidden within each challenge we face. Just as Christ bore His cross with unwavering grace and relentless courage, we are exuberantly invited to embrace our own trials, seeing them as essential threads in a magnificent divine tapestry. By adopting this perspective, we empower ourselves to transform daily challenges into treasured opportunities for spiritual growth and a deeper connection with our Creator, allowing the vibrant essence of Christ’s teachings to flow through our actions and interactions with others.

I will leave your thoughts to yourself.

But for me, after meditating upon the scripture, I am just humbled in my spirit, rattled to my core, recognizing and realizing that I wish to live as that “I am born into” so as to glimpse into the beauty of eternal life between my birth and death.

The realization and revelation of his word in the world of HIS, is leading me to a path where even though saved by the Christ on the cross, one day I can truly bear the title that carries an Everlasting Love, Forgiveness and Grace.

Matthew 22:37-38
Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment.
